A TEACHER from Mandwandwe High School in Bulawayo walked away with a motor vehicle after he became the inaugural winner in the 2024 Zimpost Insurance promotion.

The 55-year-old teacher, Mr Christopher Nyoni was handed over his vehicle at the Main Post office offices in Bulawayo on Wednesday morning.

Speaking at the ceremony, Zimpost postmaster general Mr Maxwell Chitendeni said as an organisation they always strive to respect and share with their partners. He said they look at their partners with the value that they deserve.

“Zimpost in partnership with Nicoz Diamond, Global Risk Underwriting Managers (GRUMA) and Zinara made this post-insurance campaign a success,” said Mr Chitendeni.

He said the three partners are important in the execution of their business strategies.

“You are aware that today through the National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1) which was announced by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, we need to have a digital economy. As Zimpost we fall under the Ministry of ICT, Postal and Courier Services that is also mandated to drive the pillar of digital transformation,” he said.

“And because they are an implementing agent of the same ministry they therefore want to make sure they also share infrastructure. Hence this is the coming in of Zinara, Zimpost getting into marriage with Nicoz Diamond through the Public Private Partnership (PPP), all these marriages are being overseen by GRUMA,” said Mr Chitendeni.

He also complimented their partners that they rely on them, they are happy with the marriages because it is bearing fruits that they are witnessing today.

“At Zimpost we also follow what the President always say that we should leave no one and no place behind, hence by doing that this is where you see, that we are using Star network to make the work of our clients easier,” he added.

Speaking after being handed over the vehicle Mr Nyoni said he was happy to win the car urging motorists to pay their vehicle insurance.
