Byo Youth League slams Masuku

Chronicle Reporter
ZANU-PF Bulawayo Provincial Youth League executive yesterday condemned Senator Angeline Masuku for her association with disgruntled ex-members of the ruling party. Cde Anna Mokgohloa, the provincial chairperson, said the league had lost confidence in Cde Masuku’s leadership and capability to represent Zanu-PF in any capacity.

“Firstly we want to state that her war credentials are questionable as we have never heard her name being pronounced by former liberators. We took notice of her association with former war veterans minister and chairman Christopher Mutsvangwa, Zimbabwe People First and front-runner Jabulani Sibanda,” said Cde Mokgohloa.

She said Cde Masuku, who represents Bulawayo in the Senate, had embarked on a mission to undermine the authority of President Mugabe. “Her loyalty to Zanu-PF is questionable. We encourage that she stands guided by the [party] constitution and accordingly in association and service to the party.

“Continual misguided actions in any form can’t go unexposed.” Cde Mokgohloa said Cde Masuku’s alliance with opposition activists is a direct defiance to Zanu-PF rules and regulations.
