Caf Champions League winners keen on Billiat

CURRENT Caf Champions League holders Wydad Casablanca are believed to be showing interest in one of Mamelodi Sundowns’ star players.

The Moroccan giants are tracking Khama Billiat, who is in the final six months of his contract with the Brazilians.

Casablanca were responsible for Sundowns’ exit from the Caf Champions League competition last year after the Moroccan side defeated the Brazilians in a penalty shootout in the second-leg of the quarter-final stages and then went on to be crowned champions of the continent.

The Siya crew has since been informed by sources in the know that Casablanca are believed to be showing interest in Billiat, as they keep track of the player’s situation at the Chloorkop-based club.

Billiat is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal with Masandawana, although at this point, the Zimbabwean is being linked with an exit from the club.

Indications are that Sundowns will be open to hearing offers for the 27-year-old Zimbabwean and it remains to be seen whether Wydad Casablanca will look to approach Masandawana with a bid for Billiat’s services. – Soccer Laduma.
