adminJOHANNESBURG. — Pan Africa’s largest and one of the world’s fastest growing news service providers, CAJ News (Centre for African Journalists), has signed contracts with top media houses in Africa and beyond.
CAJ News signed a six-month contract with leading media houses comprising News24, AllAfrica and other international news agencies in Europe following its unique stance for reporting developmental issues in Africa as they happen in a manner that is not partisan.
All the CAJ News contracts are subject to renewal.
The contract between CAJ News Africa and All- Africa follows June’s signing ceremony of yet another key contract with News24, a leading news online provider for Media24 Group, Africa’s largest media group.
The Media24 deal follows another top contract with Zimbabwe Newspapers Group, which is now running to its fifth year. Zimpapers runs Zimbabwe’s leading daily, The Herald, The Sunday Mail, The Chronicle, The Sunday News and Manica Post, among others.
Editor-in-chief and chief executive of CAJ News Africa Savious-Parker Kwinika hailed his editorial team for reporting objectively about Africa.
“Nothing is as exciting as seeing your own baby being recognised nationally, regionally and internationally,” he said.
“I have come to realise that character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired and success achieved,” said Kwinika.
He said he was impressed that several other African countries including Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Namibia, Zambia, Rwanda, Tanzania, Egypt, Botswana and Uganda have invited CAJ News Africa to discuss possible business deals with Africa’s emerging news agency.
Kwinika said CAJ News Africa services are sought in the US, Germany, UK, China, France, Brazil and India while several technology companies, African banks, car manufacturers, oil and petroleum producing companies, mobile and telecoms, insurance and mining firms have supported the agency through advertising.
He paid tribute to his team of reporters and correspondents throughout Africa.
“I would like to thank my editorial teams, mainly South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya for standing by CAJ News despite some harsh economic conditions coupled with competition from international news vendors. As a Christian, I strongly believe if God is on our side, nothing can defeat us despite tough environment,” Kwinika said.
CAJ News has satellite offices in Kenya and Nigeria.
He said several other South African media houses were wrapping up deals with CAJ News before year end, a development he said confirms the agency as the continent’s most preferred news service provider.
