THE biggest party of the Castle Lager Premiership Match Day Eight is taking place at Wadzanai tomorrow when champions Simba Bhora host league leaders MWOS.

MWOS are set to face the mother of all tests, having overcome their first seven hurdles like heavyweights.

The Punters are enjoying a dream start to the season, accumulating 17 points in seven assignments.

However, their unbeaten run could come to an end at Wadzanai, a venue that has ended many fairytale runs.

Simba Bhora fans hardly display funeral faces at their fortress, and they lost only once last season at this venue.

Statistics indicate that Simba Bhora coach, Joel Luphahla, has recorded more points (14) in their seven games since securing their PSL status three seasons ago.

They registered eight points in their debut season and have bettered that tally by six points this season.

All that will count for nothing tomorrow as they welcome Lloyd Mutasa’s troops, who have tasted victory at Wadzanai before, defeating Herentals 1-0.

A party crowd is expected at this venue, and the hosts have raised gate charges, with ordinary tickets pegged at $5 and $20 for VIP.

Simba Bhora duo Billy Vheremu and Mensah, who are on loan to MWOS, are not restricted by any contractual clause from having their say in this fixture.

Veremu is MWOS’s leading goalscorer with three goals.

Both clubs have confirmed.

Mutasa is already planning for this fixture without his midfield general, Mathew Murambiwa, who is on suspension.

In contrast, the hosts have a clean bill of health.

Both sides are coming into this match on the back of three straight wins.

Interestingly, they have kept five clean sheets apiece.

Simba Bhora captain Blessing Moyo told Zimpapers Sport that they are ready to drown the visitors.

“We’ve been enjoying a good run, and our start to this season hasn’t been bad,” said Moyo.

“I think we’re ready to give our fans the result they need against MWOS. It’s not going to be an easy game, we’re playing a team that’s very organized and has done well so far.

“We’re not worried about how they’ve been playing in their last games because, for us, playing at Wadzanai is motivation enough. We don’t need to be told how important this game is.”
