Candidate pulls out of by-election

Independent candidate for Binga Rural District Council Ward 7 by-election Mr Paul Munsaka has withdrawn his candidature.

The poll was set for October 5 this year.

ZEC chief elections officer Mr Utoile Silaigwana said in a statement: “It is hereby notified, in terms of section 126 (2) of the Electoral Act, that Munsaka Paul, an independent candidate, nominated for election in the by-election to be held on 5 October 2024, has withdrawn his candidature from the Binga Rural District Council Ward 7. His name will not appear on the ballot paper.”
