CAPS LOSE MORE GROUND IN TITLE RACE

Tadious Manyepo in SHAMVA

Agama…………………………….………………0

CAPS United…………………………………..……..0

CAPS United moved a place up the ladder to second on the table after this stalemate that however felt like a defeat at Wadzanai yesterday.

For the first time this season, the Green Machine are behind the log leaders by as many as four points after the flat draw could only drag them to 33 points.

With Scottland and Hardrock facing each other at Rufaro, CAPS United knew they would keep the pressure on either, with a win of their own, regardless of what would happen in the capital.

Scottland put Hardrock to the cleaners with a 2-0 demolition of the Kwekwe team, but Makepekepe failed to keep the gap between them and the Mabvuku team at two points.

Yet their failure to wrap the maximum points in Shamva wasn’t because Agama mounted a strong resistance.

It was all their own fault. It all came down to their lack of precision in front of goal. Their own disorganisation in the attacking third.

It was their own game to lose and that showed right from the moment referee Quedsani Dirwai blew his kick-off whistle.
