Defender Arnold Chivheya, rookie forward Takudzwa Mahori and Joseph Mutambirwa were injured during the pre-season tournament early this month but are now fit.
On Saturday, CAPS United beat Chegutu Pirates 5-1 during a practice match and Rwafa said the win had somehow boosted their confidence following their 3-2 defeat to Chicken Inn two weeks ago.
“We beat Chegutu Pirates 5-1 but I still think that they are a good side because they made us run a lot.
“Now we are focusing on the opening game of the season against Harare City and its an honour for us because that would be the first league match to be shown on Supersport.
“So far we have managed to assemble our squad and I am sure we should be able to provide an entertaining game against Harare City,” said Rwafa.
Rwafa, who has previously worked with the juniors at CAPS United, said their squad was a blend of experience and youthful players.
“Unlike Harare City who have got players with names, we do not have. Our side is a mixture of experience and youth. The preparations have gone well and while I have not seen Harare City in action this season, we promise to do our best,” said Rwafa.
Last year, CAPS United got off to one of their worst possible starts to the season when they failed to win their opening six league matches with Irish coach Sean Connor.
Currently former goalkeeper Brenna Msiska and Albert “Dalala” Mabika are presiding over training sessions as the club keeps hoping that Taurai Mangwiro will bounce back.
Mangwiro was suspended by Zifa over the Asiagate scandal but the former Monoz coach has appealed against both the sentence and conviction.
CAPS, who released more than half a dozen players during the off-season, have also shifted their training base to Arcadia with Tafadzwa Dube being one of their high-profile signings.
On Friday, defending league champions Dynamos will also shift their attention to the domestic scene after having been involved in the African Champions League.
DeMbare will play police side Black Mambas at Morris Depot before meeting Chicken Inn on Monday at Rufaro.
The Harare giants will be using the matches to step up their difficult task of wiping a 3-0 defeat against Tunisian side Club Athletic Bizertin.
Black Mambas coach, John Ncube, said he is aware that his side will be facing a wounded lion.
Warumwa Warumwa have been engaging lower league sides for their pre-season matches.
“We are ready for the new season and have played mostly Division One clubs for assessment.
“In terms of preparations, Dynamos are ahead of us because they had been playing in some competitions.
“So in terms of match fitness, they are ahead but is means that we have to fight hard to make a good start to the season.
“We do not want to repeat what happened last season,” said Ncube.
Last season, Mambas ended up fighting relegation and only survived on the last day as the chop fell on Gunners and Blue Rangers.
