Harare Premiership soccer giants CAPS United had to come from behind to beat Mozambican division one side Chingale de Tete 2-1 in an international friendly match at the Estodio de Chingale in Tete yesterday.
The match against the Mozambicans saw the Green Machine starting to adjust to life without British coach Mark Harrison who dumped the club last week. Harrison has since joined Botswana Premiership side Township Rollers. Former Highlanders coach Mark Mathe could have been worried when his side went to the break trailing 1-0 while Gerald Phiri, who is making a return to the side could have scored from a free kick. Veteran striker Leonard Tsipa then scored from the penalty spot in the second half to level the scores before Crispen Machisi came from the bench to score the winner.
Mathe started the match with Victor Twaliki in goals, Valentine Musarurwa playing at right back while Michael Mwenya from Zambia filled the left-back position.
Ronald Pfumbidzayi, who was the regular at left-back, is leaving to join Danish side IFK Hobro next week and was at Rufaro yesterday to watch the Warriors against Comoros. — SportsZone.
