CAPS utd date Triangle

Grace Chingoma Senior Sports Reporter
CAPS United return to action tomorrow at the National Sports Stadium with a tricky tie against Triangle and coach Lloyd Chitembwe is expecting a tough encounter for the Green Machine. The Lowveld side have been quietly going about their business and have posted some impressive wins, including beating champions Chicken Inn in Bulawayo. “We expect a very difficult game, they have been doing well in recent weeks. We expect a game that would be technically and tactically difficult, but we will try and get a result,” said Chitembwe.

“It will not be easy, they have been doing very well in recent weeks, they are good team.

“Their technical bench is as good as any other bench in the country. If you look at Biggie (Zuze) and the amount of work he has done at Triangle, the amount of time he has been in football coaching, I am sure they deserve to be respected.

“So it is going to be a very difficult game.” caps united will be without the duo of Hardlife Zvirekwi and Ronald Pfumbidzai, who are in Namibia for the COSAFA tournament. David “Yogi” Mandigora’s Triangle have been having a fine run and have also been good travellers, losing only once on the road.

Interestingly, both sides have lost once and both defeats coming from How Mine.

“It is going to be a tough game against CAPS United as they are playing well but we have also been preparing well for the match,” said Mandigora.

“The break also helped us as some of our players, like captain Nhamo Lameck, managed to recover from injury and is now back.

“We have been trying to pick some points on the road and this season we lost once to How Mine and the last time we came to Harare, we drew with Dynamos and so we just hope we can return home with something in the bag this weekend.

“We have our full squad and our preparations went on well.”
