A BULAWAYO businessman who took Caps United striker Roderick Mutuma to the Highlanders Clubhouse last week Sunday has denied that he is a Dynamos supporter.

Carlos Tavengwa, who runs a refrigeration company in the city, said he has always been a Highlanders supporter who also carries a life membership card.

“Surely if I was a Dynamos supporter why would I be seen at Highlanders premises with a player who had single handedly booted the club out of a cup competition? I’m a Highlanders life member,” said Tavengwa who came to the Chronicle newsroom brandishing his Highlanders membership card.

Tavengwa said he has been active in trying to source potent strikers for Highlanders, something which he, if he was indeed a Dynamos supporter, would not have found pleasure in doing.

The businessman said he was also behind the reported intended move to Highlanders by Dynamos striker Patrick Khumbula which, however, fell through.
