THE iconic roar of Victoria Falls will compete with a different kind of thunder this Africa Day, as South African rap sensation Cassper Nyovest prepares to headline a highly anticipated concert at Cotton Club.
The event in the resort city is shaping up to be one of the year’s most significant cultural showcases for fans of African music.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the world’s largest waterfall during its peak season, the Africa Day concert promises an electrifying fusion of music, culture and celebration — a fitting tribute to the continent’s unity and creative spirit.
Cassper Nyovest, a multi-award-winning artiste renowned for his genre-defying blend of hip-hop, Amapiano and electronic sounds, will headline the show. His dynamic performances, chart-topping hits and magnetic stage presence have cemented his status as one of Africa’s most influential music icons.
“As Victoria Falls continues to witness a surge in tourist arrivals, this show is our way of celebrating the vibrant spirit of Africa Day and the city’s growing cultural significance. Cassper’s ability to transcend genres makes this event ideal for both locals and international visitors. There will be something for everyone,” said Cotton Club director Kudakwashe Chigoma.
The celebration, scheduled for Sunday, will not only feature an international headliner but also a stellar supporting cast of Zimbabwean talent.
Rising star, Calvin Mangena, is expected to deliver a soulful set, while local favourites DJ Dlex, DJ Ashley and DJ Potato will keep the dance floor alive well into the night.
