STAKEHOLDERS from Bulawayo yesterday endorsed the final Copac draft constitution and called for peace before and after the holding of the referendum.
Speaking during a breakfast meeting organised by Bulawayo Agenda, the stakeholders, who included politicians, members of the civic society, church leaders, councillors, business people and residents, commended the recent breakthrough in the constitution-making process.
Presenting an overview of the final draft constitution, Copac co-chairperson Mr Edward Mkhosi said the political parties in the Inclusive Government had buried their differences and reached a consensus on the draft.Women lack empowerment in agriculture

Draft constitution ready for translation into indigenous languages

PRINTING of materials to be used in the publicity campaign for the draft Constitution has begun, after the Senate yesterday adopted the motion on the draft Constitution.
This follows a similar move by the House of Assembly on Wednesday.
Principals to the Global Political Agreement are now expected to announce dates of the referendum.
The draft will be translated into indigenous languages while civic education is expected to be completed within a month.
The Copac Project Board met in Harare yesterday to discuss the remaining process before the Constitution-making process is completed.
