SEVERAL skin-lightening products that are in high demand in Southern Africa allegedly contain mercury, a substance that can pose a range of dangers to users, officials have said.
The region has seen an upsurge in the smuggling of the creams, beauty and antiseptic soaps, or lotions that allegedly contain mercury.
