Cde Cosmas Chiringa declared National Hero

HARARE Metropolitan Provincial Affairs and Devolution Permanent Secretary Cde Cosmas Chiringa has been declared a national hero.

Announcing the national heroes status this evening, Harare Metropolitan Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Senator Charles Tawengwa announced the hero status.

“After realising the journey he travelled during and after independence, President Mnangagwa has conferred him a national hero,” said Sen Tawengwa.

He died on Monday at a local hospital in Harare.

Mourners are gathered at his homestead at Number 32 Victoria Road, Newlands, Harare
