ZANU PF National Chairman, Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, today met leaders of the ruling party’s Far East Asia (FEA) district in Beijing.

Cde Muchinguri-Kashiri, who is also the Minister of Defence, took time off her schedule to dialogue with the party members in an interactive session.

In an interview with Zimpapers after the meeting, she said: “I took time off my schedule to meet Zimbabweans living in China, particularly the leaders and members of the ZANU PF district here.

“By virtue of being the chairman of the party, everywhere I go, I carry the party with me. I had an opportunity to interact with party members to get an understanding of the party’s structures and what they are doing to grow.”

Cde Muchinguri-Kashiri said she had also listened to the challenges that they face in representing the party as well as in living in China.

She said that on account of the excellent diplomatic relations between Zimbabwe and China, solutions to most of the challenges can be addressed.

She urged the leaders to use the expertise they have gained in China to promote development back home.

“As Zimbabweans, you are well educated. Use the expertise gained in China to further develop our country and grow our economy,” she said.

ZANU PF’s FEA district chair Cde Lawrence Kurundai led the delegation that met Cde Muchinguri-Kashiri.
