adminLONDON. — Petr Cech is likely to join Manchester United or Arsenal this summer after Chelsea gave the thumbs up to the veteran goalkeeper to complete a domestic deal. He knows the Czech Republic international is still a top level performer, despite falling behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
But according to the Telegraph, Blues owner Roman Abramovich has overruled his manager and given Cech the green light to complete a move to United or Arsenal. Chelsea want around £10m for the goalkeeper, which is well within reach for the Premier League duo.
United are in the market for a new No.1 with David de Gea heading off to Real Madrid. Louis van Gaal has Cech on a shortlist which also includes the likes of Hugo Lloris, Asmir Begovic and Jasper Cillessen. Arsenal, meanwhile, could come in for Cech, with the player known to be happy in London.
His family are based in the city, and a move across the capital would cause the least disruption to Cech. Arsene Wenger has Wojciech Szczesny and David Ospina on the books.
