Celebration Church donates drugs to Mutare City

CITY of Mutare has received a consignment of medical drugs worth over US$500 000 from Celebration Church which is expected to boost the local authority’s health service delivery.

The donation, which was sourced by the church’s health division, was handed over to mayor, Councillor Blessing Tandi and acting Town Clerk, Dr Antony Mutara.

Speaking during the handover of the consignment, Cllr Tandi expressed gratitude to Celebration Church.

 

He said this is a welcome development as the city steps up efforts to improve health service delivery in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We really appreciate this gesture. It will go a long way in helping us as a local authority to effectively discharge primary health care services at our facilities,” said Cllr Tandi.

A Celebration Church representative, Pastor Reginald Gatsi said: “This is our small way of contributing to alleviating the challenges our city is facing in health services delivery. We are glad to have played a part and assisted in the great work you are doing to serve the people.”
