AS the Zifa Central Soccer League championship race reaches its climax, ZRP Beitbridge and Chrome Stars will know this weekend, whether they are still in the race or not.
Winners of the league will be promoted to the Castle Lager Premiership. The two teams will clash at Dulibadzimu Stadium in Beitbridge, this afternoon.
With three rounds of matches to go, ZRP Beitbridge lie third with 46 points from 23 games, three adrift of table toppers Whawha.
The chrome miners are fourth, with 43 points from the same number of matches.
Stars chairman, Unuaait Nyaruka said his side is still with a chance and will fight tooth and nail to get a positive result.
“We’re still in the race although our chances will also depend on the outcome of other matches. We want to ensure that we do the job for ourselves in the remaining three fixtures and wait to see what happens,” said Nyaruka .
ZRP Beitbridge secretary Russell Majuta, buoyed by his side’s impressive home record, said the Kwekwe based side would be one of his team’s victims.
