CHAMPION International College celebrated its third anniversary yesterday at Chapman Golf Club.
The Champion College motto is ‘Where Success Is Guaranteed.’
The college started in 2015 with one student in Harare Gardens.
The college will open a boarding school in Belvedere next year.
It has become one of the most reputable private colleges which is producing some excellent results.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Torerayi Moyo, said:
“As we reflect on their origins, it is essential to recognise the vital role that private colleges such as Champion International College play in complementing government efforts to provide education through private schools.
“Champion International College stands as a beacon of hope, providing quality education to countless students.
“This institution does not only enhance educational access but also ensures that every child has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background.
“By working collaboratively with the government, private colleges contribute to the broader educational landscape. This partnership enhances the overall availability of quality education and creates additional pathways for learners to access valuable learning experiences.
“Private colleges play a vital role in the successful implementation of the recently adopted Heritage-Based Education 5.0 curriculum, particularly through their emphasis on innovation, critical thinking and experiential learning.
“These institutions, such as Champion International College, are uniquely positioned to foster an environment where students can explore their interests and engage in self-directed learning.
“By incorporating hands-on experiences and practical applications, private colleges enhance the educational journey, allowing students to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world challenges.
“I am particularly proud of Champion International College’s steadfast commitment to corporate social responsibility. The scholarships offered to academically gifted yet financially disadvantaged students embody a profound dedication to equity in education.”
