Gospel musician Charles Charamba has distanced himself from a fake Facebook account with the name The Charambas and Fishers of Men.
Speaking on the sidelines of his first show this year at Aquatic Complex on Wednesday the musician said though there have been no damages caused to him by the account, he feels there was need to tell his fans the truth.
“There are no damages caused yet but I just think there is need for us to clarify the issue to our fans,” said Charamba.

The “Machira Chete” song maker said their official Facebook account is named The Charambas.
The musician told hundreds of fans who thronged the venue that they had a lot of recorded songs.

“We have a lot of songs that are recorded but we have not yet released any album our last release was ‘Pashoko Pangoma’,” he said.
Charamba said his advisers had urged him not to sample new songs during his shows saying they wanted surprises. “Since last year our fans told us that the album should be a surprise to them and we have been urged not to play the songs on our shows,” he said.

At the show, Charamba and his wife gave a great performance and left the crowd asking for more.
Clad in a black shirt and white trousers, the musician belted out his hit songs “Musacheme”, “Mutsvene Mutsvene” and “Nyika Zimbabwe”.

Mai Charamba did songs “Rute” and “Hakuna Chombo”, among others.
The crowd, mainly composed of women and children, praised and worshipped throughout the show.

Towards sunset, the musician urged people to pray for their children before ending his show with the song “Komborerai Vana”.
