The funfair has something for everyone including horse rides, games and music.
It will be non-stop music and dance as sungura king, Alick Macheso, Freddy “Kapfupi” Manjalima, gospel musicians Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave as well as Baba and Mai Charamba serenade music fans on a musical journey.
The fun-filled fare is a charity event which seeks to raise funds for the less privileged in society.
Previously, the annual event would feature few artistes but this year the organisers have gone a notch up by selecting arguably some of the best performers in Zimbabwe.
Macheso or Extrabasso to most music fans is arguably one of the best sungura musicians in Zimbabwe.
The “Tafadzwa” singer has sent the crowd into a frenzy every time he graces the stage.
Extrabasso is a tried and tested musician and he is no stranger to such events as the ZRP Commissioner General’s Funfair.
He has also held shows in several countries including, South Africa, Botswana and the United Kingdom.
The Orchestra Mberikwazvo front man has many chart toppers up his sleeves including “WeMakonzo”, “Madhawu” and “Chimoko Changu” that have endeared well with his fans in Zimbabwe and abroad.
On the other hand, comedian cum-musician Kapfupi has proved that he has got what it takes and can be a marvel to watch.
Kapfupi is currently enjoying massive support from his fans who love both his comic antics and music.
He seems never to run out of ideas on stage and with his midget dancer “Majisa” (real name Justice Mushoran’anga) and a new costume (adult suit), revellers are in for a massive day of musical bliss.
It will be a mixed bag as gospel music is well represented, as Baba and Mai Charamba are sure to stamp their authority .
The gospel super couple, who are described by many as the “first family” of gospel music have proved beyond doubt that they are a force to reckon with.
The Charamba’s have released hits, which include “Sarudzai”, “Mhinduro Iriko” and “Buruka” among others that have made them household names.
Added to the fun is the vibrant police band, which is expected to perform some sing-along tunes at the fair.
The band will be out to prove that they too can perform alongside the giants in the music industry.
Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave, continues to hold her own in gospel circles and is loved by many for her uplifting messages through song, will also be on the line up of entertainers.
Dendera singer, Suluman Chimbetu and urban grooves musician Stunner, real name, Desmond Chideme are some of the acts you definitely do not want to miss.
If anything, the event is a must attend family fun day.
