AFTER an impressive display with the ball on day two, Zimbabwe will be looking to replicate that performance with the bat as they head into day three of the first Test against New Zealand at Queens Sports Club trailing by 127 runs.
The Chevrons resume day three on 31/2 having lost both their openers inside the last half hour of play yesterday. They will need to bat on to try and set a decent target for the Blackcaps.
Nick Welch, on two runs off 18 deliveries and a night watchman, Vincent Masekesa on zero off 13 are in the middle.
Zimbabwe’s openers Ben Curran and Brian Bennett fell for 11 and 18 runs respectively.
