AFTER winning their two opening games against Seychelles and Mozambique, Zimbabwe will be out to make it three out of three when they face Rwanda in their third game of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Africa Qualifier B tournament in Nairobi, Kenya this afternoon.
The Chevrons will be hoping to continue their dominance in the tournament as they eye yet another resounding victory over the East African nation.
As part of their preparations for the game, the Chevrons had a fine-tuning session yesterday afternoon at Gymkhana.
Prior to the tournament, head coach Justin Sammons and captain Sikandar Raza both emphasised the importance of treating each game with respect despite playing against minnows and being the clear favourites.
Zimbabwe beat Seychelles by 76 runs (D/L Method) before going on top register a nine wickets win over Mozambique on Sunday.
The top two sides in this tournament will advance to the regional final, where they will be joined by Namibia and Uganda, who were given a bye after having participated in the previous T20 World Cup and four other teams from sub-regional qualifiers A and C.
Today’s match is scheduled to start at 12.50pm and is available for streaming at ICC TV.
