GOSPEL musician and film producer Leonard Chibhamu has dedicated his new video of the song “Garai Neni” to the memory of the late “Village Secrets” cast members Lazarus “Gringo” Boora, Simanga Chitsaka and Tsitsi Mhlanga.

The artiste also released another video titled “Jesu Unondida”.

It is taken off Chibhamu’s debut album “Zvigare Zvakadaro”.

Chibhamu said the deaths of the three inspired him to produce the two videos.

“The videos were inspired by events that took place in my life following the deaths of the actors.

“As I imagined my loss, I decided to write songs that speak about the emotions that I was going through,” Chibhamu said.

He further said his dream as an artiste and film producer is to become a big influencer in the music and film industries.

The actors’ deaths prompted Chibhamu to dedicate the song “Garai Neni” to them.

In “Village Secrets”, Gringo acted as Gibbo, with Chitsaka and Mhlanga acting as Machuma and Mai Mufundisi, respectively.

He said the deaths deeply affected him.

“As I was penning the song ‘Garai Neni’ and coming up with its video, I was imagining the loss that I suffered, as these were important people in my life and career.

“Their deaths seriously affected me because they died within a short space of time. Since they were the leading actors, I was forced to change the direction of the script,” Chibhamu, who at one time entertained thoughts of discontinuing the drama series, said.
