Chibuku Super Cup quarter-final venues announced

AFTER days of speculation, the Premier Soccer League has announced venues for the Chibuku Super Cup quarter-finals set for this weekend.

Action will begin at the National Sports Stadium (NSS) on Saturday where Herentals take on Manica Diamonds. 

The rest of the matches will be played on Sunday. 

Dynamos will face FC Platinum at the NSS with Black Rhinos taking on Chicken Inn at Vengere Stadium. Highlanders will face Bulawayo Chiefs at Barbourfields Stadium.

The preliminary round of the tournament played at Mandava Stadium last month saw Cranborne Bullets drawing 1-1 with Whawha before the latter won 8-7 on penalties.

ZPC Kariba took on Bulawayo City, with the match ending in a 0-0 stalemate before Kauya Katuruturu won 4-1 on penalties.

In the round of 16 matches played last month, Dynamos beat Whawha 1-0, Highlanders won 1-0 over Triangle, Manica Diamonds saw off Yadah 2-0, Bulawayo Chiefs defeated ZPC Kariba 1-0, Chicken Inn were 2-0 victorious over Harare City, FC Platinum triumphed 2-0 over Tenax, Black Rhinos saw off Caps United 1-0 and Herentals College shocked Ngezi Platinum 2-1.

FC Platinum won last year’s Chibuku Super Cup.

The Chibuku Super Cup is sponsored to the tune of US$375 000 by Delta Beverages.
