Chicken Inn fired up

CHICKEN Inn are fired up for this afternoon’s NetOne One Wallet Cup semi-final tie against Lowveld side Triangle at Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane.The Innscor Africa-sponsored Bulawayo side will however miss two of their players Tendai Mukambi and Ramson Zhuwawo due to family commitments but coach Joe Antipas said he still remains confident of a positive result.

“We are more or less covered up now in terms of what we have to do and for now we are just waiting for the game,” said Antipas.

He declared a clean bill of health in his camp save for the two players.

The Bulawayo side are favourites to sail past Triangle and reach their second final in two years.

Ironically, their only cup triumph was in the Charity Shield final played at Mandava Stadium and sponsored by the mobile phone company, NetOne. The team was under Mandla “Lulu” Mpofu then.

Antipas said they were aware of the danger posed by their opponents and will therefore avoid being complacent.

Triangle coach Biggie Zuze has already declared his intention of going all the way to the final and was late yesterday still taking his troops through their paces.

“We are at training right now,” he said.

Lameck Nhamo and Richard Kawondera are the players that Chicken Inn would have to be on the look out for.

Of late Triangle have been playing some exciting passing football and will certainly give the Bulawayo side a good run for their money and fans in Zvishavane should brace for a good football match.
