UK-BASED music producer, MacDonald Chidavaenzi, has roped in his nephew Tadiwa Moroka as the producer at Eternity Records in Harare.
Better known as Tadexx Has Made It, the 21-year-old has been producing household names since 2021.
He produced Baba Harare’s latest gospel album titled “Repentance”, which has been embraced by fans.
Besides Baba’s project, Tadexx has also produced albums for Selmor Mtukudzi, Feli Nandi, Tale Wedzinza, Tammy Moyo, Nyasha David, Trevor Dongo and Freeman, among others.
On Saturday, he will release a single titled ‘Ndakwita’, which he co-authored with Freeman, Michael Magz, Dongo, Chillmaster and Mandy Ahwe.
In an interview, Tadexx, who has been working behind the scenes with his uncle Chidavaenzi, expressed gratitude to him.
“I will always remain indebted to him (Chidavaenzi) for the mentorship and giving me the opportunity,” he said.
“I was good at creating beats from high school but I had no idea about music production. My life changed when I came here. Today I am now a producer working with great musicians, it is called grace, not luck.
“I will always consult my mentor whenever I need anything as far as musical production is concerned.”
Chidavaenzi, who was recently in Zimbabwe, confirmed Tadexx’s new role.
“I now run two studios – one in the UK and the other in Harare where Tadexx is in charge.
“The boy is good and I have never doubted him. With technology, it is also easier for me to monitor and perfect the work he does in Harare.”
