Chief Musambakaruma of Nyaminyami in Kariba rural district has hailed Government for providing agricultural inputs in his area.

In an interview yesterday, Chief Musambakaruma said people in his area were optimistic of an economic rebound under the leadership of President Mnangagwa.

“People are expecting a turnaround of the country’s economy and we hope that our President will deliver as he is a man of unquestionable credentials,” he said.

“In terms of agriculture, we received seed and fertiliser from Government and Presidential inputs on time.

“Even chemicals were also availed. Our main worry now is the changing rain patterns.”

President Mnangagwa, as part of his ongoing programme to connect and acquaint himself with the thinking of different interest groups in the country, is scheduled to hold a meeting with the country’s 282 chiefs in Gweru on Friday.
