Jazz musician Never Gasho aka Chief Mutota has released a single in honour of Bona Mugabe and Simba Chikore who tied the knot early this month.
In an interview Gasho said his latest release “Bona naSimba” recorded at Track Records is dedicated to the couple’s wedding although he failed to deliver it to them right on the wedding day.

“I went into the studio a few days before Simba and Bona’s wedding hoping to present the CD on their wedding day. It later turned out that certain areas of the song needed to be worked on and I had to suspend the move for a while,” said Gasho.

“I wrote this song as a way of thanking particularly the first family who gave good guidance to their daughter until such a smart marriage. Bona’s marriage did not only bring honour to the first family but also did us proud as a nation. I will deliver the sovenior to the new family any time soon.”

Chief Mutota is a Karoi-based jazz musician with four albums to his name-The Chief (2006), Mudiwa (2007), Mutapa Tribute (2011) and Takabvepi (2013). He is also a prominent maize farmer and businessman.
