FORMER Castle Lager Premier Soccer League side Bulawayo Chiefs have climbed to the summit of the Zifa Southern Region Division One League, but they are not alone. Chiefs and Nkayi United are level on 44 points after both teams registered narrow 1-0 victories over the weekend, with Chiefs edging Jordan while Nkayi overcame Victoria Falls City.

Chiefs hold first place on goal difference, boasting a +23 margin compared to Nkayi’s +19.
“We will not stop fighting. It has been an interesting campaign and we will keep pushing,” said Chiefs coach, John Nyikadzino.

The battle for promotion has been fierce, with Hwange also keeping themselves in the mix.
The coalminers, powered by veterans Winston Mhango, Vincent Moyo and Joe Nyabinde, edged Blackrock 1-0 under the guidance of coach Mthulisi Maphosa.
