Chiefs march on

ZIFA Southern Region Division One champions Plumtree Chiefs continued with their winning ways beating Nust 2-0 in a league encounter on Saturday.
The Thulani Sibanda coached Chiefs recorded their sixth win in eight games.
Goals from Kundishora Chakanyuka and Wallas Magalani were enough to add to the students’ misery as they continue to struggle in the league with only one win so far.

Chiefs’ coach Sibanda said his side played well.
“We played well and it was a good game, the season is still young so it’s hard to start talking about the Premiership but we hope to keep the momentum and take each game as it comes,” said Sibanda.

Chiefs have players such as Ray Lunga, Brendon Moyo, Mayibongwe Moyo and Pride Ndlovu in their ranks.
In other matches, Ntabazinduna bounced back to winning ways beating Mpumalanga 2-1 to record their third win.

The Agent Sawu coached side had suffered a shocking defeat to Tsholotsho which ended their unbeaten run.
Trumus thumped Technosphere 2-0 to blow the Hwange side’s chances of keeping up with high flying Plumtree Chiefs.

It was Technosphere’s first defeat of the season and they now trail Chiefs by six points.
The game between Tsholotsho and Old Nic Mine was postponed.
