The gangly Chigova has been inspirational between the posts and is yet to concede a goal during the seven league matches he had featured in.
Although this could be a friendly match, there will be something at stake for Chigova as he aims to stretch his fine run to 720 minutes.
Because of his fine show, coupled by a solid defence, Chigova has been voted the Castle Lager Goalkeeper of the Month for May while his team-mate Washington Pakamisa won a double from the monthly awards.
Pakamisa is the league’s best player for May and he also shares the monthly Golden Boot award with Harare City’s Osborne Mukuradare who also bagged five goals.
Last month, Pakamisa struck a brace while Tawanda Muparati weighed in with another goal as Dynamos deflated Monoz 3-0 in a league clash at Rufaro.
Today, Dynamos will be without Patson Jaure and Ocean Mushure who are with the Warriors while Monomotapa have the liberty to use Ronald Chitiyo who has been excused from camp.
Monomotapa executive member, Faber Mapiringanwa, yesterday said they have pegged the rest of the ground at US$2 while the western stand is US$3.
“It could be a friendly match but for us as Monomotapa we are still bruised by that 3-0 defeat in the league.
“So this is a chance, at least, to redeem ourselves against Dynamos and we are happy that Ronald Chitiyo could be playing.
“We really want to break that jinx, even in a friendly,” said Mapiringanwa.
Chitiyo was released from Warriors camp on Monday following the death of his sister and was not included on the squad leaving for Guinea.
Across town, CAPS United, will play Motor Action in another friendly at Gwanzura as both teams seek to improve on their performance from the first 13 matches.
It’s worse off for Motor Action who are among the bottom four teams on the log while CAPS United have blown hot and cold before the break.
The Green Machine beat Motor Action 2-1 with Hardlife Zvirekwi firing a brace from the penalty sport
At Ascot tomorrow, FC Platinum will be trying to adjust to life without Tennant Chilumba, who is heading back to his homeland, to join Power Dynamos.
FC Platinum will be playing a Gweru select side likely to be fronted by Chapungu forward Phillip Marufu.
