ESTHER Chakaira has thanked fans for carrying her through the inaugural season of Brother in the House Zimbabwe after walking away with US$ 50 000 grand prize.
Chakaira was crowned the winner on Sunday, alongside fellow finalists Blessing Madhukuza, Phineas Jnr, Gwyneth and Queen Rufaro.
Her victory capped a season filled with entertainment, drama and memorable moments as the housemates competed for the top prize and other rewards.
Madhukuza finished second and walked away with a brand-new car, while Phineas Jnr, Gwyneth and Queen Rufaro also received prizes after making it into the final five.
Among the consolation prizes was a brand-new refrigerator and an iPhone 17 Pro Max, awarded as part of the rewards for contestants finishing in the other top positions. Following her victory, Chakaira took time to appreciate the fans who voted, encouraged and supported her throughout the competition.
“Every vote, every message, every share, and every word of encouragement meant so much to us,” she said.
She said the support from viewers helped her through what was a demanding journey inside the Brother in the House.
“Your love and support carried Esther through this incredible journey, and we are truly grateful,” she said.
The reality star also remembered those who voted for her once as well as those who continued voting throughout the competition.
“Whether you voted once or countless times, please know that your support did not go unnoticed,” she said.
Chakaira said the relationship she developed with her supporters would remain an important part of her experience on the show.
“You became part of Esther’s journey, and for that, we will forever be thankful,” she said.
The first season of Brother in the House Zimbabwe was launched as a local reality television project aimed at showcasing Zimbabwean talent and entertainment.
The competition gave viewers an opportunity to follow the lives of the contestants while they lived together and competed for the grand prize.
Chakaira’s victory now makes her the first winner of the Zimbabwean reality show, with her US$50 000 prize marking the biggest individual reward from the inaugural season.
For Madhukuza, finishing second came with a new car, while the remaining finalists were also rewarded for making it to the closing stages.
The show has also provided a platform for the contestants to build their public profiles, with the first season generating interest among entertainment followers.
As Chakaira celebrates her victory, she has made it clear that the achievement was not hers alone, acknowledging the fans whose votes and encouragement helped her throughout the competition.
The inaugural season has now come to an end, with Chakaira taking the crown and the US$50 000 prize, while Madhukuza, Phineas Jnr, Gwyneth and Queen Rufaro leave the competition with prizes of their own.
