The cold temperatures that are being experienced across the nation will persist until tomorrow, with the Meteorological Services Department urging the public to take necessary precautions to keep warm.
The department issued an alert yesterday, saying the cold temperatures that started on Tuesday are being experienced during the night, with warm temperatures during the day.
“Morning clear skies in all areas, very cold at first with ground frost in areas like Gweru, Matopos, Henderson and Lupane. Expected overnight cold with calm winds, sunny and warm days in most areas.
“Members of the public and the vulnerable should keep warm to avoid increased chances of catching a cough, influenza, or a cold,” said the MSD.
