China’s pledge

China has pledged continued support of the local agricultural sector in its quest to help improve the standard of living for the ordinary people, the country’s ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Lin Lin has said.
Speaking at a beekeeping graduation ceremony of 30 women in Mvurwi on Thursday, China’s ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Lin Lin said agriculture had great potential which could boost the country’s economy.

“We are honoured to have exclusively provided the funding of about US$6 200 for the beekeeping project which symbolises the goodwill and concrete action of China to support the development of the agricultural sector in Zimbabwe and the improvement of Zimbabwean people’s livelihoods,” he said.
