A 62-YEAR-OLD Chinese businessman based in Norton has landed in court after allegedly groping and indecently assaulting a young female employee at his company.
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) confirmed the incident, saying the man appeared at Norton Magistrates’ Court facing charges of indecent assault.

“Allegations are that in April 2025, the accused person fondled the complainant’s buttocks and embraced her several times with indecent intent,” read the statement.
The victim, a 21-year-old woman, is said to have reported the abuse to her manager, hoping it would stop.

But instead of backing off, the suspect allegedly continued with the harassment, forcing her to take the matter further.
“She subsequently filed a police report leading to the arrest of the accused person,” said the NPAZ.

The accused man was remanded out of custody and is expected back in court on 25 September 2025.
