Chinhoyi hosts ZimParks DG’s sports tourney

THE Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks) director-general’s National Sports Tournament is underway in Chinhoyi, being hosted by the Mid-Zambezi Region at Chinhoyi Caves.

The sporting gala ends on Thursday, when outstanding teams will be awarded prizes.

 

ZimParks director-general Professor Edson Gandiwa is expected to officiate at the closing ceremony tomorrow.

ZimParks staffers from as far as Hwange, Eastern Highlands, Matopos, and Harare are battling it out for honours in various sporting disciplines, including soccer, netball, volleyball, pool, and chess.

Mid-Zambezi regional manager, Mr Felix Chimeramombe, said the tournament enhanced teamwork and wellness.

“These are the same values we uphold in our conservation work,” he said.
