GOSPEL enthusiasts are set for a big treat when the town plays host to Love Zimbabwe Gospel Festival, that is set to be held at Gadzema grounds from April 3 — 6 2025.
The festival will start at 3pm.
It is the First Ever Gospel Festival in Zimbabwe and is being organized by The Palau Global Network of Evangelists, in partnership with Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Council of Churches, African Enterprise, Wild Ministries UDACIZA, Kubamba and Alpha South Africa .
Festival Coordinator, Reverend Edward Mungai, told H- Metro, that the Global Network is a ministry of Palau Global Network of Evangelists which identifies, affirms, connects, equips, and mobilizes evangelists from all around the world.
Mungai said the Evangelists are passionate about creating communities of evangelists who are committed to completing the Great Commission together.
He said they are going to have four festivals in Chinhoyi, Gweru (August 18- 24), Bulawayo (August 25-31), and Harare.
The purpose or mission of the festival is to proclaim the good news of Jesus to the people of Chinhoyi and to reach out to the lost using different expressions of evangelism.
“ We have got One Message with many expressions.
“We speak broadly about evangelism; connecting evangelists and church leaders to foster collaboration; discipleship training of pastors, counsellors and Sunday School teachers,” said Mungai.
He added:
“We also have Advance training which enhances social cohesion and Gospel pervasiveness in different social groups,” said Mungai.
He said some Evangelist such as Desmond Henry — GNE( South Africa), Bryce Kwant, (SA) Edward Mungai(Kenya),Heather Zinny(USA) and Karen Kandia — Children’s ministry (Kenya), just to mention a few.
Mungai said there is going to be a lot of action sports by participants from Brazil, South Africa, UK.
“Local artists will include Tembalami and other Chinhoyi artists,”
He said International billed to perform are Cypres( UK)Galactus Jack(UK),Jimo(SA), Kubamba (Kenya) among others,” said Mungai. Festival activities include live music, action sports( BMX), children’s bouncing castle and children’s games.
“Special performances will be football stunts,sharing of the message, short gospel videos and drama/skirts,” said Mungai
