Chipaz takes a leaf from Chibuku Neshamwari

MUSIC promoter Partson “Chipaz” Chimboza has introduced a music talent search competition that is similarly modelled to the Chibuku Neshamwari Traditional Dance Festival.

The “Cup Clash”, just like Chibuku Neshamwari, will take place in all the country’s 10 provinces.

Provincial winners will then battle it out in the national final.

The winner of the competition will walk away with a brand-new car.

Chipaz said he was inspired by the Chibuku Neshamwari talent search show.

“Chibuku Neshamwari has helped tap raw, natural talent from across the country. In coming up with the Cup Clash, I was inspired by this great talent show,” he said.

The first edition of the Cup Clash was held in Harare on September 2, and Tinashe “Zim Pogba” Mandaza – a 24-year-old Zimdancehall singer-cum comedian – won the clash.

The Manicaland provincial finals will be held in Mutare on September 23.

All the provincial finals should have been held by December 20, with the national finals taking place at the City Sports Centre in Harare on December 23.
