WARRIORS returnee Elvis Chipezeze says he is “feeling on top of the world” after being named Carling Knockout Player of the Tournament at the Betway Premier Soccer League awards in South Africa.

The Gweru-born goalkeeper was in stellar form between the posts for Magesi FC, playing a key role in the club’s campaign.

Chipezeze kept 12 clean sheets in 30 matches across all competitions, conceding 31 goals — a run that earned him the top individual honour in the Carling Knockout competition.

“It just feels good to get such a recognition. I’m grateful to my team’s coaches and teammates,” said Chipezeze.

His performance also earned him a recall to the Zimbabwe senior national team, the Warriors.
