WARRIORS returnee Elvis Chipezeze is riding high after bagging the Carling Knockout Player of the Tournament award at the Betway Premier Soccer League awards in South Africa.
The Gweru-born shot-stopper, who turned heads with his brilliant saves for Magesi FC, says he’s “feeling on top of the world” after scooping the top individual accolade.
Chipezeze was a brick wall between the posts, keeping 12 clean sheets in 30 matches and letting in just 31 goals across all competitions — stats that left rivals in awe.
“It just feels good to get such recognition. I’m grateful to my team’s coaches and teammates,” said the humble keeper.
His sizzling form hasn’t gone unnoticed back home either. Chipezeze has earned a Warriors recall, ready to don the green and gold once again.
