Chitando retains Chamber of Mines presidency

 

Mines and Mining Development Minister was made honorary vice-president.

Mr Alex Mhembere, the chief executive officer of Zimplats, retained his position as the chamber’s first vice-president while How Mine’s chief operating officer Mr Allan Mashingaidze is the second vice-president.

Under the Chamber of Mines’ constitution, the president and his or her vice-presidents are required to serve for two terms.

Mr Chitando is the managing director of Mimosa Mining Company in Zvishavane.

He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of Zimbabwe.
