CAPS United coach Lloyd Chitembwe says all that his team need are goals and the Green Machine could be a happy family once again. Makepekepe have a tough date against Hwange in a Castle Lager Premiership tie at the Colliery today needing maximum points after a poor run in recent games.
Chitembwe watched his man dominate against Buffaloes but, once again, fail to get the goal that they badly needed, in his first match back as head coach of the Green Machine.
“We are prepared for the match although you can say we did not get enough time but, as professionals, we have to make use of the team that we have and hope that they can do a job for us,” said Chitembwe.
“We have all the players ready for this match and I believe they are going to do the job. We can’t complain of injuries or any absentees at the moment.
“The guys are professionals and they are used to play under any conditions so Hwange is not an exception.
“We have a team with professionals and they should be comfortable with playing anywhere in the country.
“I think even Hwange are feeling the pressure of playing these games within a short space of time but it is normal in most countries so we cannot take that as an excuse.
“Our aim is to come out with a positive result from the Colliery.”
Hwange, who were in the capital on Saturday, had an extra day rest compared to the Green Machine who played their match on Sunday before embarking on the long trip to the Colliery.
There have been questions in the Makepekepe camp as to why they allowed Leonard Fiyado to leave and join ZPC Kariba while bringing back Dominic Chungwa who has struggled so far since his return from an unsuccessful stint at Dynamos.
Chungwa has become a target for furious fans who have been targeting him and it was the same on Sunday after he missed a number of good chances.
Hwange have been doing well of late after winning against Chicken Inn and defeating Harare City.
