WAVERLY High School in Kadoma has been hit by the cholera outbreak, with 26 cases being recorded and seven people admitted in hospital.

Those admitted are at the main Kadoma cholera treatment centre in Ingezi.

Kadoma Town Council Ward 11 Councillor, Michael Mabwe, said:

“Waverley is on fire, we have 26 students from Waverley High School diagnosed as having contracted cholera. Today, (Sunday) we attended to 16 and seven were admitted.

“Let’s be vigilant as residents. Practice extreme hygiene.”

Waverly High falls under his ward.

This comes as Christian nations brace for Easter Holidays that will fall from March 29 to April 1, this year.

During this holiday, there are huge gatherings and wide-scale movements.
