A cholera treatment centre has been set up Mushumbi Pools Business Centre in Mbire district after eight new cases were reported at Chidodo Clinic.

Other three new cases were reported each in Shamva, Mvurwi and Centenary.

Since March, Mashonaland Central has recorded 232 cholera cases and 27 deaths.

The Ministry of Health and Child Care is carrying out stakeholder engagement and awareness campaigns across the country.

However, new cholera cases are now decreasing, especially in Harare, following the implementation of a cocktail of measures by the Government.
