Bishop B. Manjoro Dunamis
The difference between a winner and a loser is not always about the natural ability, but about the state of mind and the willingness to win. Winners have confidence or faith that they can win irrespective of challenges ahead of them. There are three nuggets that I want to present that help people to transform their mindsets and realign them for success and prosperity.
Think what God thinks about you
God always thinks positive about believers. In Jeremiah 29: 11, He says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace (prosperity), and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” His thoughts upon believers is prosperity, peace and a good end. He thinks positive about your business, family and work. He wants you to prosper. If God is thinking positive about you and wants you to prosper, then why do you always think negative about yourself?
You need to start to conform to the pattern of thoughts God has upon you; thoughts that will make you a better person. Declare the thoughts God has upon you. These include; you shall be the head and not the tail (Deuteronomy 28: 13); you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8: 37), you shall flourish like a palm tree and produce good fruits, even in old age (Psalms 92: 12-14) and goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life (Psalms 23: 6).
Paul, the Apostle taught us a great lesson on how we can change from the humanly kind of thinking to conform to the pattern of God’s thinking. In his letter to the Romans, he said, “I beseech you therefore, Brethren by the Mercies of God, that you present your bodies a Living Sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is good, and acceptable, and Perfect Will of God” (Romans 12: 1-2).
The transformation being referred by Paul is close to “metamorphosis”. Metamorphosis is mainly used to describe the change of worms into butterfly. It is a complete change, from a lesser state to a better one. Paul was teaching that for one to transform, he must renew his mind and offload the negative in his mind. When your mind is renewed and mirrors God’s, you won’t dwell on the negative things because God is always positive about you.
Think what is positive
King David knew that words one speaks have the power to create things. In Psalms 39: 1, he said, “I said I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.” We learn here that when you think evil, it is prudent to keep quiet, because when you speak a negative, you create it. Whenever you think evil, close your mouth, because when you speak something, you produce it. The evil I’m talking about here are not just sinful things, but include all things that relegate you to failure. Negative thinking is evil, because it not good for you.
The son of David, Solomon, went further and said, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they who love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs 18: 21). Therefore, when you constantly talk doubt and negative things, you fill your heart with that stuff and ultimately you create ‘death’. On the contrary, when you speak the positive and declare the Word of God and His promises with faith, you create ‘life’. Always speak words that create life, like, “I’m a winner through Christ”, “Victory is my portion”, “I’m a pioneer of things that will prosper” or “No weapon formed against me will prosper”.
I counsel you that whenever, you hear thoughts like, “I will not achieve anything this year” or “My life is terrible”, then hold your mouth and speak only when you have something positive to say. The devil is waiting for the negative words from your mouth, which he will use to destroy you.
Think about what you desire and what you want to achieve
God fulfil the desires of the people who are faithful and delights in Him.
The Bible says, “Delight yourself also in the LORD: and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalms 37: 4). Another scripture says, “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” (John 14: 14). These scriptures teach us that you need to have a desire(s), which you need to declare and God will fulfil it. In one of my articles, I emphasized that you need to fill you heart with the promises of God, which become your desires, and then when you declare them from your heart, then they will come to pass. The Word says, “. . . out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh”. (Matthew 12: 34). If you desire a house and you fill your heart with it and declare it, with the passage of time you will have it. If you fill your heart with a car, one day you will own it.
Don’t think what is contradictory to your desires. When you dwell on the negative you are conformed to the unbelievers’ pattern of thinking that is dictated by the external factors like the state of the economy or political situation.
Many people make a mistake of aiming for things that can be funded by money in their wallets. For example, they will not aim for a house, if they don’t have the money. I want to tell you today that when you desire a house, meditate upon it and fill your heart with and declare it. When you are ripe for marriage and you don’t have the money, don’t say, “Where would I get the money to pay lobola?” Instead say, “I will get married and live a happy life with my wife.”
When you think about something, it soaks and saturates in your heart and God will act upon the thing that is always in your heart. I continue to emphasise over and over again in most of my articles that miracles of multiplication occurs when you meditate and declare something in your heart. Always remember, “For with God all things are possible!” (Mark 10: 27).
