Run away causes National Railways of Zimbabwe train derailment in Mutare

THE National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) has reported a train derailment Between Mutare and Machipanda.

In a statement on X, NRZ said that the accident occurred on 19 February.

“The NRZ would like to inform the nation of a train accident that happened on the evening of Monday, 19 February, 2024. The train, which was on its way to the Beira Port, had a run away and derailed between Mutare and Machipanda. More details to follow…” reads the statement.
