He said: “ Ciara was on tour, and I was looking at her in the mirror, and God spoke to me.
“He said, ‘I need you to lead her.’ I told her, ‘What would you do if we took all that “extra stuff’’ off the table, and just did it Jesus’ way?’ I said to her – and she completely agreed – ‘Can we love each other without that?’ ‘’If you can love somebody without that, then you can really love somebody.’’
However, the 26-year-old NFL star admitted it isn’t always easy sticking to the sex ban.
Speaking during an interview with Pastor Miles McPherson at San Diego’s Rock Church, he said: “I ain’t gonna lie to y’all now – I need you to pray for us.
“I know y’all have seen her on the screen. If there’s a 10, she’s a 15.’’ And Russell feels blessed to have the 29-year-old singer – who has 13-month-old son Future with her former partner, rapper Future – in his life.
