Urban contemporary musician Cindy Munyavi has released a sizzling HD video christened “Parere Moyo”, a follow up to “Ndidzorere Moyo”. The video, which was shot in Zimbabwe, proves that Cindy has come of age.
“The video was shot somewhere in Zimbabwe though I can’t say exactly where. I just fell in love with the spot because it is just natural,” she said.
Cindy said the video was all about her creativity where she exhibits her love for natural and uninhibited scenery.
“I wanted to come up with something that fans would appreciate, in other words the best out of the available resources.
“I hired professional designers, makeup artistes, stylists and choreographers to help come up with a good piece and honestly it cost me a fortune but I’m glad it’s all worth it,” said the songstress.
“Parere Moyo” talks about finding love after one has been jilted, a theme which is found on “Ndidzorere Moyo”.
“The song speaks to those who have been heartbroken but then someone else will be waiting for you. That someone could even be better than what you had,” she said.
She said the video complements the song.
“I know some people when they hear the song will think it was based on my personal experience but when they see the video it is not the case,” she said.
The diva said her wish was to do more videos to promote the new album.
“I am happy that we are getting there when it comes to development in the arts sector. I shot the video with an HD camera, courtesy of Creative Hub Films. Given the opportunity, just like how international artistes do, I wish to shoot more videos for the album,” she said.
She said the video yet to appear on YouTube but was in talks with different television channels such as Trace TV, Channel O, Fresh Wave and ZBC among others.
“Parere Moyo” is also part of the forthcoming 16-track album that will be titled “Music, Vocals, Cindy” set to be released in April.
Cindy also revealed that she was studying French in a move that will also see her broadening the market for her music.
“I’m studying French and in future will also be singing in French and English, which should open doors for my music to Francophone countries, than to entirely rely on the local market,” she said.
